Equis Financial and GBU Life Team Up to Benefit Children at the Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH

On August 21, 2026, Equis Financial and GBU Life hosted a Build-A-Buddy activity during Equis' Gold Standard Tour: Columbus, OH. This activity included stuffing, placing a star (the bear's heart) inside, and putting a T-shirt on each bear.

While agents were completing the activity, Kathy Hickman, Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships at Nationwide Children's Hospital Foundation, shared the hospital's mission and what receiving these bears means for the children they are serving.

Together, Equis Financial and GBU Life were able to donate roughly 110 bears to be distributed to patients in need of a little extra comfort.
