For Scott and Kimberly Rumbo, their Equis journey began with a simple Facebook post that changed everything.
In January 2016, they saw that Barry Clarkson had joined Equis Financial. Having worked with Barry before, they commented to wish him luck—never imagining that just days later, Barry would reach out personally and ask to set up a call.
“Barry’s track record of success gave us all the confidence in the world to join him again,” Scott shared. “He told us this would be our last rodeo—and he was certainly right.”

At that time, the lead-driven space in the insurance industry felt uncertain and chaotic. But for the Rumbos, Barry represented trust, consistency, and leadership they could count on. “He became the one person who could guide us through that uncertainty,” Scott said. “We put all our trust in him.”
Looking back, some of Scott’s favorite early memories are from those first few conferences and training events—meeting people he had only known of before and watching those acquaintances turn into lifelong friendships. “What stands out most is how quickly it started to feel like family,” Scott said. “The relationships we’ve built here are something special.”
Over the years, Equis has become more than a business for Scott and Kimberly—it’s been a place to grow, lead, and serve others. In 2022, their agency, Yellowstone Life Insurance Agency, became an Integrity Company, marking a new milestone in their journey as Integrity Managing Partners.

“Our best friends today are people we’ve met through Equis,” Scott said. “We’ve grown personally and professionally, and we’ve been able to play a small role in helping others achieve dreams they once thought were out of reach.”
When asked which of Equis’ Core Values resonates most, Scott didn’t hesitate: Toughness. “To be in business for yourself, you’re going to face challenges—mentally and financially. If your desire is to live a life that most people only dream about, you have to be willing to do what others are not.”
Their advice to new agents is simple but powerful: Don’t quit.“When things get tough—and they will—keep going,” Scott said. “Whether it’s the mental battle of picking up the phone or figuring out how to pay the bills, you’ve got to be willing to go through what others won’t. That’s what makes all the difference.”
We’re proud to celebrate Scott and Kimberly Rumbo and the incredible impact they’ve made over the past decade with Equis Financial.
