10 Years of Equis: Nick & Cindi Theodore's Leadership Turned Legacy

Before joining Equis Financial, Nick and Cindi Theodore were no strangers to hard work. They had been in the insurance industry for years but found themselves limited by the lack of technology, leads, and carrier options at their previous company. Despite their experience, they felt stuck—without the tools or infrastructure needed to truly grow.
So when Equis Financial launched, they recognized something different right away. It was a company built to empower agents, not restrict them—a place where they could finally build the kind of business they had always envisioned.

On October 1st, 2015, Nick and Cindi officially got contracted with Equis. From day one, they were all in. “We were waiting for such an amazing company that actually put the agent first,” Nick said. “When we found Equis, we committed that day to doing all we could to ensure our success.”
One of Nick’s earliest memories was from a Friday morning call. “After the agent leaderboards, they read the manager leaderboards—and there were only three of us: Myself, Jerrod Ewing, and Eric Boling,” he shared. “It showed how early we were in building this and motivated us to do even more to help Equis grow.”
And they did exactly that.

Within nine months of joining, Nick and Cindi went from a tough financial spot to earning over $12,000 a week. Three years later, they crossed $1 million in income, and in 2021, their agency, Theodore Group, became one of the first Equis organizations to be acquired by Integrity Marketing Group—a milestone that solidified their place as leaders within both Equis and the larger Integrity platform.
Over the past decade, Nick and Cindi have built far more than a business. They’ve built people. Their organization is filled with agents who have found success through the same system that helped them get started—proof that when you lead with belief and consistency, others will follow.
“Equis has given us the ability to run a system within their greater system,” Nick said. “That ownership has allowed us to thrive and help others do the same.”
It’s no surprise that the Equis Core Value that means the most to them is Ownership. It’s been at the center of everything they’ve built—from their personal growth to the success of the many agents they’ve mentored.
Of all the memories they’ve made over the years, one stands out above the rest. “We raffled off two brand-new cars at a Theodore Group conference to agents who had earned points throughout the year,” Nick said. “Seeing that excitement and energy was incredible—it reminded us just how special this opportunity really is.”
Ten years later, the Theodores’ impact continues to ripple across the Equis organization. Their leadership has helped shape not only their team but the culture of growth, accountability, and belief that defines Equis Financial today.
